The hardest part of the job was being understaffed during peak hours, however, those were also some of the most fun of times. There are still many former customers I see around that still hello and tell me they miss me at Newberg. That was a minority of customers as most loved chatting it up and I learned to love it too. When I worked there I learned to read each situation individually and not try to force conversation on someone who just wants their coffee. As a customer of Dutch Bros, I would sometimes get bothered by how high energy everyone seemed to be towards customers. Upon serving thousands of customers in my time there I have grown to be able to be very outgoing and really good at speaking with people. I went into Dutch Bros as a rather shy and timid person. Even though the busy rushes made it stressful at times, even the hardest part was still great because I only got better at multitasking and time management.īeing able to see the same people every day made me love getting to know people more and more, my favorite thing was meeting new people and coworkers that became friends. This job gave me the chance to make such a big difference in peoples' lives without even realizing it at times.
